From Our Family to Yours

We're Ella and Warrick, Melbourne suburbanites juggling swings, sandcastles, veggie patches, and alfresco dreams. Finding a fire pit that fit our lifestyle proved tricky: either bulky and permanent or flimsy and disposable. We craved a better solution.

Warrick, with his profile cutting expertise, began sketching a vision: a simple, slot-together fire pit built from heavy-duty steel that wouldn't warp or rust easily. Easily storable, it would become a cherished gathering point, not a space hog. Our prototype thrived through countless friend-filled evenings, sparking a desire to share the joy. Soon, "extras" became gifts, and then, with friends of friends asking "where can I get one?", LUME was born.

The name? LUME, an ancient Portuguese and Galician Spanish word for fire, the very essence of cooking, warmth, and connection. Our family's love of Spain and its culture made it a perfect fit.
